Rippers 6/2/12 Rockaway Beach Queens, New York

Photobucket

Tonight Rob was dancing on the tables which is not an uncommon sight during our shows but we also had Dave leaping off the seating for "finale/Townshend" effect and an audience member up on the table just friggin' dancing on their own volition.

The crowd was into it and so was the band during this windyish outdoor performance. I also enjoyed the onlookers/non-bar patrons outside the perimeter myself who were just enjoying the novelty of amplified music along 86 Shorefront Parkway. so it was a nice outdoors show overlooking the beach that leads into the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean Real Vast Like.

Premiered tonight was "Rockaway Beach" (full band version*) which we wuz learned for this occasion.

a few days after this show I was in the subway refilling my Metrocard and this conversation took place between the token booth clerk and myself.

me: 10 dollars on this card please.
token booth clerk: hey man I've seen you around, are you part of the rock scene ?
me: yes, I'm in a few bands, maybe White Wedding the 80s tribute band
token booth clerk: nah man not that far back

I give him the thumbs up and on my way.

Eric The Brave brandishes his Ibanez (sounds like a dirty limerick doesn't it ?)

Rob raises baby squid & sea monkeys as a hobby and would like to help the world to sing in perfect harmony.

After-show Diana asked us to watch her shoes and went sauntering onto the beach as Jamie, Eric and myself enjoyed the view & refreshments from the boardwalk (a few stiff Rum & Coke's) whilst conversing about everything from grapefruit's to gorgonzola.

Eric searched for Diana amongst the moonlit horizon that the deep blue jeweled beach offered him.

Diana returned after a spell with a few balloons that she had adopted, mind you we (or even Rod Serling) have not a clue where they came from but they are friendly, cuddly, housebroken and spayed.

Online Promotion Poster, a Virtual Poster as it were.

We ended the show with a medley of Ramones tunes consisting of "Rockaway Beach/Blitzkrieg Bop/I Wanna Be Sedated" and encored our encore with Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me"

* - White Wedding did play an improv version of "Rockaway Beach" at Thai Rock but it was only half the band improvising (Rob, Spike and Paul Little on guitar)

This Is Show # 172

Thai Rock 6/24/11 Rockaway Beach, Queens, New York

NOTICE - As White Wedding continue to evolve the time has come to relinquish our onstage monikers back to our real names (Well, In Most Cases) due to the fact that the show has become so bountiful of special guests that theres no reason to confuse aliases.

(Left To Right) - Dave (Diamond Dave), Spike (Animal), Rob (Spicolli), J.C. (Amadeus), Nancy (Billie Jean) and Paul (Ferris).
Our bandleader Mike will be joining us at tomorrow's gig (Claudio's - 6/25/11) so we can take a peek at whom Doc Brown has been hiding behind.

They say Thai Food and Rock Music Bedfellows Shall Never Make !!!
but I for one beg to differ.

Thai Rock which is located overlooking Beautiful Jamaica Bay prides itself on being a Thai Food Restaurant AND "Music House" in which it succeeds. The Doppler was suspecting rain so we did not get to perform outside on the deck this time around. One of our fans Sheila spent her birthday with us and the crowd grew as the night wore on.

Delicious Food, Tasty Wine and one of the nicer venues in Rockaway Beach.
Premiered tonight was the chorus of the Ramones "Rockaway Beach"

Jamie, Rob, Paul, Richard & Spike took the train home in the wee hours only to be annoyed by the presence of "Misteronsomethingandbeingveryvocalaboutitwhiletryingtogothroughthecarsvialockedtraindoor" and instead of being my callous self I was reminded that "Yes, these people can be dangerous and YES they might have a gun"

Mr. OnSomething did Butter me up and easily too.

Upon his possibly tenth or twelfth passing across the train car he did exclaim (upon seeing Paul's guitar case or maybe my hair) toward's my friends and bandmates.

Mr. OnSomething: I like you people, your'e entertainers

(after a pause)

Spike (To Jamie): well,.... that was very nice.
Jamie (To Spike): You are So crazy, do you know that ?, Why are you So crazy ?

The Irish Circle 3/25/11 Rockaway Beach, Queens, New York

Photobucket

Awesome Kudos to Daniel-San for stepping up to the plate with less than 24 hour's notice to perform vocal duties for three sets with us. This was a very interesting gig for the core members of the band as we were performing with McFly and Daniel-san at the same time and Amadeus took over vocal duties on "Faithfully","I Wanna Be Sedated" and "Hungry Like The Wolf"

The Irish Circles Nacho Platter is pretty much what one would make at home so I can honestly say that I was not very impressed, Tasty though it was.
